cant install yioop v6 on 1and1 host.

hello i uploaded the folder with files holding the latest version 6 and named it yioop2 but the page displlys like as if there is no CSS and all the links dont work the tech support at my webhost 1and1 ionis said they have curl extension installed and its a linux machine (didint specify distro) and shared hosting which i know i wont run the crawler but they were not able to troubleshoot furhter.. is it htaccess issue? which i dont undestand the docs here is it the configs folder in config file i changed named server to my hosts name servers but that did nothing

Hi Lisa,
.htaccess might be an issue. If the .htaccess file is not being processed because your hosting service doesn't allow it, then you will probably need to point your browser at the src folder to get Yioop to load the css correctly. I.e.,
 some_url
would need to be
 some_url/src
if the .htaccess file cannot be enabled.
