Are Cached Pages Legal.

I know Google does this but has anyone ever thought about the possibility of copyright infringement using the "cached" link on the search results? I mean you are technically showing a copy of the page from your website
Any thoughts?

I am not a lawyer, so you'd have to ask one to get a real answer. I think at least in the US under the DMCA, you can cache pages, but if a copyright owner asks you to take them down you might have to.
Best,
Chris

Just curious - does yioop have a way for the page owners to tell it not to cache their pages? Like a meta tag or something?

If an owner put a robots meta tag with nocache, Yioop won't cache the page. For images, PDF, etc, Yioop will not store a cache if there is a X-Robots-Tag header saying nocache.
Best,
Chris
